On 3 May 2017, some of our members took part in a high-profile demonstration organized jointly by Amnesty and Reporters Without Borders to mark World Press Freedom Day. The demonstration was on behalf of the 150+ journalists currently imprisoned in Turkey, and took place in front of the Turkish embassy on Tiergartenstrasse in Berlin.
The local and national press were present in abundance and the event was reported on national and local television as well as in many newspapers and blogs. See the Amnesty Germany website for more photos.
